My Story…
It was only about a year ago that I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life.
After college I enjoyed a highly successful career in the Marines where I became a computer programmer. But like many people after the year 2000 I found myself highly trained, but unemployed. Most of the programming languages I specialized in had all begun to be outsourced to other places in the world.
I had tons of passion to make the world a better place, but no place to let my passions out.
It was really tough for a long time. Because I had once been highly trained and well paid, NO ONE would hire me. I couldn’t even get a job at walmart! There I was, used to making a six figure salary, and I couldn’t even get minimum wage.
As a father with a beautiful family, I really felt like a loser. One of the only things I ever really wanted in life was to be a great dad… and I couldn’t even buy groceries or make our house payment.
Can you relate to falling into some hard times?
I basically just shut down. I remember going out to the garage for days and just staring at the wall. It was like a black cloud had fallen over me.
So with nothing to lose, I started researching home businesses and online marketing. If you’ve ever heard of those overnight success stories – that wasn’t me… I really had a lot of things to learn.
So as I’ve grown in my marketing I’ve failed at a lot of things, but I always learned from my online mistakes and worked to do better. My life isn’t perfect, and I haven’t mastered everything I want yet… but I’ve learned some really great marketing strategies and have enjoyed some really awesome successes!
The really great thing to me, is that I’m still CONSTANTLY learning. At first, all the constant learning wore my brain down and made it hard to even know what to do next. It felt like being in the middle of an ocean trying to decide which way I should swim to shore. There are SO MANY DIRECTIONS you can go in, and it’s really hard to know what the right way is.
When My Life Started Turning Around
It took about 9 months of research and somewhere around $10,000 invested into getting the right information from real experts that were actually making money online before I started getting my marketing engine to start working. I started systematically landing on Google Page 1 for keywords I wanted to tackle, which started creating thousands of unique visitors to my site ever 30 days. Of course once I started getting traffic, then I started to make sales.
I just wanted to shout… “IT’S ABOUT TIME“.
A good friend of mine once said… “Don’t be a Know It All”… because Know it All’s can’t learn anything… “Be a Learn it All”…. because they are always growing! Personally, I’d like to dedicate this channel to all my fellow “LEARN IT ALL’S” out there who are growing both personally and in their marketing.
