What do I mean by passive tweeting? If you’re like me, you probably don’t have time to sit all day long on twitter…. and you don’t need to ACTIVELY be tweeting very much. Passive Tweeting is when you spend a few minutes in the morning setting up your tweets for the day, and then letting them happen on autopilot.
Most mornings, I pre-schedule about 5-12 tweets for the day. It takes me about 10-15 minutes to do this. Scheduling my tweets for the day keeps my twitter account active while in reality it’s all happening automatically for me. I’ll give you a tool to do this free at the end of the article!
People are constantly searching twitter on various things all throughout the day and night… by having your twitter account active for most of the day you get people searching you out.

I just explained that people are constantly searching for information. Make it easy for people to find and follow your tweets by including the general topics of your tweets. Let’s say you’re niche is coffee. By adding #coffee to the end of your tweets, you make it easy for people to find and follow you.

Don’t ever forget that Twitter is a social media network. Yes, almost everyone on twitter is marketing something… but in the end they are all looking to connect with other people. Responding to other peoples tweets is a great way to meet new people. If you respond publicly everyone can see it…. and it proves that you are a real person.

Retweeting is simply repeating a tweet that someone else did to your followers. It’s a great way to be social and share some of the great tweets you’re seeing. Taking 5 minutes a day to Respond and Retweet will give you a lot of exposure, attract new followers, and give you a lot more social connections on Twitter.

No one wants to be spammed with constant offers. Be sure to add value in your tweets. Occasional offers are ok, just keep it less then 1 out of 7 tweets. Offer a lot more value then pitches for your products.
